Dubai Launches Month-Long National Celebrations Starting November 3

Dubai is preparing for an extensive series of festivities as Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, kicks off ‘National Month’ celebrations. Running from November 3 through December 3, the initiative is designed to commemorate the UAE’s 55th Eid Al Etihad while celebrating the nation’s rich history, identity, and shared future. The celebration kicks off on Nov 3 and will go on until Dec 2. Dubai is getting into celebration mode. The programme will kick-off tomorrow, Nov 3, and run until Dec 3. The program was officially launched under the guidance of Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council. The month-long schedule aims to honor the legacy of the UAE’s Founding Fathers and recognize the ongoing developmental efforts led by the country’s leadership.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, noted that the events are curated to foster national pride and creative expression. “We are working closely with our partners across government, semi-government and private sector entities to organise celebrations that reflect the significance of the UAE’s national occasions and offer everyone an opportunity to express their love for the nation and pride in its journey,” she stated.

Throughout the month, a collaborative effort involving various sectors will bring diverse activities to communities across the city.

Key highlights include the traditional UAE Flag Day commemorations, the recurring Flag Garden, the ‘UAE Parade’, and the ‘Stories of Our Determination’ short film competition.

The latter, presented by the Dubai Films and Games Commission, invites creative talent to submit works documenting themes of unity and resilience.

Brand Dubai is coordinating with multiple stakeholders to ensure that individual events complement each other, creating a cohesive experience for residents and visitors. Further details regarding specific dates and event locations will be disseminated throughout the month as the schedule progresses.

The celebrations also encompass popular local attractions. Notably, Global Village has planned a spectacular display featuring a 1,000-drone show to mark Flag Day. Additionally, the venue has introduced a special promotion on its Family Fun Pass, allowing guests to save Dh196. Global Village to stage 1000-drone Flag Day show.

These festivities serve to reinforce the spirit of national unity and offer a platform for citizens and residents to engage with the values that define the UAE. Beyond the planned highlights, additional activities developed in partnership with public and private organizations will be announced to the public as they are finalized.
