A fresh shipment of 789 tonnes of food and essential shelter supplies has arrived in the Gaza Strip. With these latest arrivals, the operation has successfully delivered 138,030 tonnes of aid across 14,579 trucks since it began on November 5, 2023. Supplies are coordinated through the UAE Humanitarian Aid Logistics Centre in Al Arish, Egypt, where teams manage the reception, sorting, and preparation of materials before transit. Beyond general aid, the UAE maintains an extensive medical mission to support the territory’s beleaguered healthcare sector. The field hospital in Rafah has treated over 54,000 injured and ill patients since its inception. Additionally, the UAE has delivered 1,903 tonnes of specialized medical equipment and medicine to various regional hospitals in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO).
To compensate for approximately 30 hospitals that are currently out of service, the initiative has established two dedicated medical centers in northern and southern Gaza, which together assist roughly 4,000 patients every month. A mobile clinic is also operating to reach displaced families in their tents, while broader efforts continue through medical evacuations and rehabilitation programs aimed at sustaining essential healthcare services.
