The collaboration leverages Sharaf DG’s established market reach and distribution network alongside the specialized technical expertise of MiPhi. The latter benefits from Phison’s global leadership in NAND flash technology and the localized manufacturing strengths of Micromax. Initially, the distribution will concentrate on enterprise-grade solid-state drives (SSDs) and storage solutions specifically optimized for AI workloads. However, the partners have indicated that the scope of their alliance may expand to include consumer-focused storage and embedded memory products as their operations mature.
Nilesh Khalkho, CEO of Sharaf DG, emphasized the growing necessity for robust infrastructure in the modern business environment. According to Khalkho, the partnership is designed to assist businesses as they undergo digital transformation and seek dependable, high-performance technology tools. By combining Sharaf DG’s market knowledge with MiPhi’s storage infrastructure, the firm intends to address complex business requirements while concurrently broadening its own technology offerings.
Echoing these sentiments, MiPhi Co-Founder Vikas Jain noted that the current wave of technological advancement is shifting focus toward the infrastructure required for efficient data movement and scaling. Jain stated that as AI adoption becomes more pervasive, storage architecture has emerged as a fundamental component of the digital ecosystem. He added that the company is effectively utilizing Phison’s international semiconductor experience and Micromax’s market insights to meet these evolving demands. Storage is becoming an increasingly critical part of the digital ecosystem, as AI adoption accelerates.
For MiPhi, this partnership acts as a gateway to international expansion, with the UAE serving as the initial market for their combined capabilities. Both organizations view this agreement as a foundational long-term relationship, intended to generate substantial opportunities across the wider technology sector. By focusing on enterprise, AI, and consumer storage, the firms aim to sustain long-term growth while remaining responsive to the changing requirements of customers throughout the region.
This initiative represents a significant enhancement to Sharaf DG’s technology portfolio, specifically targeting the high-performance computing needs of the local market. By providing easier access to specialized storage hardware, the partnership looks to play a supporting role in the broader digital ambition of the UAE.
