The General Directorate of Civil Defence has issued a nationwide alert as severe weather patterns, including thunderstorms and potential flash floods, are projected to affect most regions of the Kingdom until Friday. Officials are emphasizing the necessity for public vigilance throughout this period of unsettled conditions.

According to the National Centre for Meteorology (NCM), the Mecca region faces a high risk of moderate to heavy rainfall that may trigger flash flooding and hailstorms. These events are expected to be accompanied by powerful downdraft winds capable of stirring up dust and significantly reducing visibility for travelers and residents alike.

The current weather disturbance is not limited to one region; the NCM has forecast similar conditions across Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Medina, Hail, Qassim, Tabuk, Al Jouf, the Northern Borders, and the Eastern Province. In these areas, residents should prepare for a combination of heavy precipitation and gusty winds.
